We had a packed house this week at the Rotary Club of Fresno to welcome Victor Davis Hanson - Townhall.com Columnist as our guest speaker. Victor's topics and discussions are thorough, advanced, and in-depth. They allow for the everyday person to recognize and understand high level situations globally and how they translate locally.
This week at the Rotary Club of Fresno we hosted our annual Public Safety Heroes Awards and Recognition Program. Congratulations to Fresno Police Department Sergeant Christine Leyva, CHP - Fresno Officer Jeremy Fonseca, Fresno Fire Department Fire Specialist Christine Wilson, and Fresno County Sheriff's Office Detective John Guzman. Congratulations to each of these recipients and for making a difference in our communities and their departments. Congratulations Jeremy!! Congratulations to everyone! 👏🏽

This week at the Rotary Club of Fresno we welcomed University High School, Fresno's Interact Club and Interact Advisor, Peter Johnson. Maureen Lewis announced the club's Golf Day in March, Jeffie Esparza Hickman mentioned our Rotary After Hours this month at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and Mona Nyandoro Cummings told the club about a great Rotarians in Action volunteer opportunity. We'll see everyone back next week for Public Safety Heroes!

The Rotary Club of Fresno joined many other clubs at PETS (President-Elect Training Seminars) this past weekend! President-Elect Mike Falge and Assistant District Governor for Area 10, Maureen Lewis represented the club in a fashionable way! They even got to hear from Rotary International President-Elect Gordon McInally at the seminars.

The Club recognized Bob Glassman for his Life Membership with 40 years of service in our club and Christina Musson was able to share why she is a LLS Visionary this year with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Central California. You can go to her page at www.ChristinaKicksCancer.org to learn more!
The club also welcomed new member Tyrone Roderick Williams, CEO of Fresno Housing and we awarded the Fresno County Sheriff's Office a $10,000 grant from our Foundation for the Sheriff's Memorial. It was an absolutely incredible day at Rotary and we are back again next week with Victor Davis Hanson!
