Wheelchair Delivery

Monday, September 21, 2020 By: Pine, Anna

Each wheelchair gives the gift of mobility and costs $100.

With your support, Free Wheelchair Mission will send containers of new wheelchairs and medical supplies to distribution partners like the Rotary Club of Harare (Wheelchairs and delivery distribution costs funded by Fresno Rotary Members), who then deliver and fit them to those in need in their communities.

The Free Wheelchair Mission designs, orders, ships and coordinates assembly, training, and fitting of each wheelchair. Their mission is to provide the transforming gift of mobility to people with a disability living in developing nations and is a 501(c)3 org. tax id is #31-1781635.

$17,000 provides 440 wheelchairs.

CREEK FIRE

CREEK FIRE

Six months into the coronavirus pandemic, our community is now facing another devastating hardship with the Creek Fire burning in Fresno and Madera counties.

Many of our fellow Rotarians, their family and friends have been directly impacted by this incident. The Fresno Rotary Board of Directors and the Fresno Rotary Foundation is gathering information to see how Fresno Rotarians can best assist.

If you have ideas on how our organizations can be of assistance, please let us know at office@fresnorotary.org or (559) 519-6260.

Be on the lookout in the coming weeks for potential opportunities for our Club to get involved.

Stay safe!

Ryan Jacobsen,
President 2020-2021
